Stephenson had a hell of a game. Also, Sprong makes a contribution right away. Like Bylsma pointed out, it was a slow start and luckily Joey stepped up whenever needed. This team is starting to get an identity again. If they continue to stick to it, we can continue having success. Problem is there is no consistency to it.

Props to the entire team yesterday though. It was an incredible job blocking shots. Even when the Preds had zone time, they were just kept to the outside and not allowed to take many shots. And ofcourse, Joey rose to the occasion as required.

Got caught up with stuff and wasn't able to watch the 3rd period and only parts of the first two...Saw the replay of the Montour goal and man do I enjoy a D-man that acts like a sniper in the Ozone when given the chance...Riverboat gambler has been excellent...And Stephenson with 3 A's was par excellante...of course Daccord getting the Shut-Out instead the other way around is the icing on the "cake"!!!

I dunno, thinking about it more I don’t want to get too high. This team did what this team does so far this season…they came off a game against a legit contender looking entirely overmatched, and bullied a fellow bubble team that is really struggling.

I dialed it back from ecstatic to cautiously optimistic.

That Stephenson play to Sprong was pretty sweet though.

I think its about consistency. Can we do this on a daily basis?

Goaltending from Daccord has been a positive through this season. If the team can play D the way they did yesterday closing lanes to keep chances to the outside and also blocking shots, we have a chance to win regularly against other middling teams.

Goal scoring is still going to be an issue for this team, especially against the better teams, but forcing other teams to take risks to score would give us the best chance for counters and pot a goal or two.
