Awesome play by Brown at the end there.

Pretty lackluster 1st. Gabo/Kopitar are still trash. Brown's line was the best line on the ice. Carter's line is about average. I counted McNabb coughed up the puck about four times already.
 
Good shift from Brown.

Brown Lewis and Shore cannot continue to be our best line. We're ****ed if that's the case.

It feels like the Canes sit back trapping then try and use their speed to counterattack. I keep thinking they're on the PK because they have 4 guys in such a small box in front of their own net.

Like a 4th liner playing limited minutes. The guy is not going to show anything playing 5-8 minutes a game.

He is just not that type of player.

Sutter would be better off with Weal and Shore swapped. But Sutter doesn't operate that way, you have to earn it.

Thats not really the point.

The point is, its the only line that, to the naked eye, appears to be consistently in the Hurricanes zone. It'd be a fantastic 3rd line if other people were stepping their games up above them.

Yep. It is really hard to see him being effective in this system. I doubt the Kings will keep him on the roster much longer.

He can play in the Kings system. Ontario plays the exact same system. The problem is the Kings have Carter/Kopitar, and Weal is not better than them

So Weal is not going to get any PP time, or minutes, cause at this point he is also not better than Shore.

So it is, what it is. Weal is also not big enough to be a winger on the Kings, you have to win Board battles (all the time) as a Kings winger.
 
Looks like we're going to lose to another bad team. Luckily the Kings will just flip the switch at the end of the season and make the Playoffs just like last year, so these points don't matter.
