When it got to the beginning of October I no longer felt that he gave 2 shits about the team, his mates, other goalies etc. I wanted Sweeney to say "enough is enough, the team comes first. He's willing to break our Cap situation so I've traded him for ....."

I hear you. We shelled out a stupid chunk for good seats in Dallas plus the 3 hour round trip, eating out only to be treated to the ultimate shitshow. Too bad we bought the tickets before the season started otherwise I would have passed given the way they are playing.

But look at Igor's stats last season till about the halfway point . Quick was by far the better netminder for the NYR thru half of theseason. Hopefully Sway can refocus and pick his game up soon.

Sway is better than this. But is he the guy we saw vs Toronto night in night out? Prolly not.

The problem is that our last goalie was a choker/diva coughed up a 3-0 game and series lead choked to Bennington and Crawford two total scrubs in the finals and refused to play bc of Diarrhea for a do or die game. And yeah that year wasn't great but the NHL kind of sucked in 2016 we easily could have made a run but Rask had the runs.

I think we're stepping in the same pile with Swayman. All drama no results.

The 2005-06 pre-Thornton trade Bruins weren't this bad.

I'd argue this is the worst start to a season in my 34 years watching this team. The past 15 games may just be the worst 15 game stretch of my Bruins fandom.

What really gets me about this team is their lack of pride.

They have been getting booed off the ice in their own building for a while now. Yet they seem to just let it roll off their collective back and come out again and again with unimpassioned play.

To me, it looks like a team whose players are doing what they can and getting nothing and are at a loss as to what to do. The coach is the same. No one seems to have any answers and they are spinning their wheels while the car is upside down.

Again, to me, this is simple business. When the department has talent who is not producing and can't figure out why and the managers also don't have a clue what to do to right things.....you go in and shake things up. Replace the manager with someone who has new ideas and perspectives while putting the employees on notice.

You can't just sit there and expect a ship that is rolled over to just roll back upright.

I still think Sweeney is burning up the phone lines looking for change options in his employees. If he thought this was all on Monty he would have pulled the trigger by now. That being said it's not like another team in the NHL is gonna help him out. So we could see nothing come from all that chatter as they continue to slip farther down the league standings.

Monty has more lives then a cat, I figured after last nights embarrassment that it was surely curtains. Perhaps Sweeney is looking to bring in someone from the outside, thus the delay. Inserting Sacco or Leach are also loser moves, both are failing miserably at their jobs and shouldn't be awarded with a promotion to HC.

Dude is shooting for the stars though.
It's just been the last 3 years plus this one where he's #1 in Ragland.
He won a Vezina the first year of being a starter. We'll give him that.
But for a player who's position is to play 5/8 of the games to pay him as much as Kreider and Fox if not more, not a chance.

Plus right now as a backup Quick is absolutely killing it this year, which doesn't look great nor does it look great here.

Half the season, not the entire. As for this season I'll bet despite his comments Sheshterkin is distracted by the contract issue & it could be affecting his teammates too (IDK how things are in the Rangers lockerroom). Not surprising this next contract will probably be the defining one of his career.

FWIW I'm glad Quick is doing well, I always liked him when he was with the Kings.
