Sounds like he's a lock for the top 6 tonight :sarcasm: Go B's!!

Two weeks ago they had lost 4 of 5 and got beat 8-2. He survived.

They’ve now lost 4 of their last 6 including a 7-2 blowout loss. He’s still here today.

Their special teams is terrible. Their effort is questionable. Why would tonight be any more telltale than most of the last month?
Jackets are doodoo and this is schedule wise a good time to make a coaching swap if they feel they need to do that. But I partially agree with you that he likely isn't going anywhere this season.

Kids are staying over tonight. Celebrating the lady friends pops’ birthday cuz the rest of their fam is in the Azores.

I have zero desire to watch hockey today. Maybe i will record and watch tomorrow.

Thank you to the Boston Bruins for this unprecedented indifference I feel toward hockey.

I had to go back and refresh my memory about some of the guys that suited up for them in 2006-07.

This season might parallel that experience!

To me this feels more like 2005-06. I remember chatting with my high school buddy at a bar that September of '05 and he's the biggest Bruins fan I know. It was he who got me into Bruins hockey all the way back in Grade 3 class in 1990. We were all excited about the new additions. Zhamnov, Leetch, McEachern, Scatchard. Joe got his extension.

And that team turned out to be dreadful. Just awful hockey to watch. Slow, no effort. The effort level jumped once Thornton got dealt, but that was about it.

The 1999-2000 season is also a good comparison to this years team.

Excellent comparison. I can remember back then listening to scratchy WBZ 1040 on the radio here in Canada to hear the games. Painful year to follow them. Just a bad team that had no structure and found ways to lose. Looks like this team is a repeat.

What's scarier is the coach of that dreadful team might be the next long-term coach here. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Powerplay is an absolute disgrace
PK might be worse! 75%!!!???

I don’t like blaming coaches for team failures, but this is theoretically an “improved” roster on paper from last year and they are worse by every objective measure. And their effort is questionable, on top of seeing new line combos every day.

If this isn’t worthy of a coaching change I’m not sure what is.

God trying to sell this Viel guy as some type of big add is an insult to our collective intelligence.

At least with Tyler Johnson he was producing at a viable clip in the NHL given the circumstances. This guy's career high for points is 40...in the AHL.
