Tough but true...this game was a benchmark and so far what I see is a team that will win more than its share but when a top tier team shows up it isn't going to end well

When people were pointing out the fact that the Bruins goalies were always the #1 star as a negative, this is what they were concerned about.

The team needs to be able to win games without needing your goalie to put in prime Hasek performances.

Bruins D is as sloppy as it has been way too often this season. And we’re finally seeing games where the goalies aren’t covering every mistake. Seems like if our goalies have just an average game (which will happen from time to time in the playoffs) expect an ugly result

On the positive side, 1/4 of the way through the season I think that Coyle has eased any doubts about being able to play as a top-6 C. He is playing another good game and has consistently been very effective this season.
