Skinner seems like the player who is out there playing hockey because it’s fun, not to win the cup. I just don’t see the desire or competitiveness of doing whatever it takes. Gaudreau (rest in peace) gave me the same vibes. I think Skinner will leave (via trade or walks in free agency the year after) and eventually play in a market where he can just have fun (San Jose, Utah, etc)

I can usually flush these games by the next day, but this one is still sticking in my craw. Would have been better to get trounced right from the get go, but having the game completely in control after two and then just giving it away is such a missed opportunity. $3.75M is too much for a backup of Skinner quality, which is what any upgrade on Pickard would make Stu, without question

Kuemper wasn't all that great in the 2022 cup win for Colorado. But not as bad as Skinner has been this year overall. That team also won games with their backup and really was good enough that he really was a passenger.

Even Skinner blames Skinner on that first PP goal. He even said all he had to do is look to the right and he could've seen it. Its in the postgame. He says he needs to be more competitive. That when Dallas are putting a screen down he needs to work around it to take a look. He never attempted. You can see his face it almost in Marchments ass. I guess you can try to defend that. I don't know how. Not even the culprit is and he usually explains away the GA.

The reason I blame Skinner specifically on the 2nd Dallas goal is that the same point shot happened in the first period, and luckily it hit knob of stick instead of going in and Skinner never looked around screen on that either. He doesn't even move to look around. That play happened twice and it was very nearly 2 GA.

in the game 3X Skinners D also stopped pucks from going in. This all in the same game in addition to all the shit he let in. I know you're not absolving him. just saying.

This is not something a fan of any team should hear their goalie say at any point, let alone the 3rd round of playoffs. It just goes to show his head isn’t in the game.

I still stand by my stance that the players on the PK did a good job in game 1. The first powerplay opportunity for the Stars they generated nothing and couldn’t even get in the zone. Skinner then is not even close to saving a wrist shot from the point. The Heiskanen and Duchene goals were awful and made the PK look bad. The idea that your PK needs to be so good that it gives up no chances against is unrealistic.

I hope Coffey stops messing with the D pairings. They worked really well in the first two periods and then he mixed them all up and they got smoked.

If they wanna mix things up they should change something up on the PP, maybe the PK.
