I'm always amused when people rip on the fans bemoaning "missed" calls as if it never happens in their own buildings.

I literally finished reading Maskerade by Terry Pratchett about 15 minutes before puck drop, and it contained a pretty quote:

A home crowd at any sporitng event is just a huge mob. Anybody reading too much into when they boo or chant or cheer is engaging is silliness.
