I disagree. I think it was the right call. The spirit of the rule is to prevent incidents near the crease where a skate-blade could get kicked up into someone. So they generally draw the line at whether the blade comes off the ice or not.wow that is not a kicking motion at all

Nah, he definitely kicked at it before his skates would've naturally come off the ice. I would have to really blindfold myself not to see it.but the blade came off the ice because the player was literally hauled down by the other team, not because he was kicking the puck.
