I don't know how you can keep going back to Monahan - Gaudreau pairing when it's so obviously ineffective.
Yes move Ryan to the first line. Or put him on 3rd line and move Bennett up. Lucic - Ryan - Dube has been great in the past.Because you can't mess up the second or third line who've been effective this playoffs.
You could move Ryan to first line duties, or slide Reider beside John with Lindy at C... but this late... are we making adjustments to find sparks?

If the first line goes AWOL again, there's really no point in 'getting through' Dallas TBH. We're living off our third line. Last year it was our 4th line. If these guys don't figure it out this Series, I hope Brad Treliving has his hands on the red button already. Just getting to the playoffs with this talented of an 'on paper' roster is not good enough.
Janko on the first line...?Might try moving Janko up and put Gaudreau with Ryan. Take some of the pressure off johnny.
Johnny has to quit playing scared. If somebody comes within 12 feet he is shrinking away.
Janko is closer to being restricted to PK duties than moving up in the lineupMight try moving Janko up and put Gaudreau with Ryan. Take some of the pressure off johnny.
Last time he played with Gaudreau, he scored 4 in a game, didn't he?Janko on the first line...?
Janko on the first line...?
Johnny is not going to get the puck to him in tight game so Monahan is useless....so is Lindholm, he is not doing much...
P sure the suggestion isLast time he played with Gaudreau, he scored 4 in a game, didn't he?
If Tkachuk's out for the game, might be worth considering (if nothing else, double shifting Gaudreau on the 4th)
P sure the suggestion is
Jankowski - Monahan - Lindholm
Gaudreau - Ryan - Rieder
Ryan has looked terrible so far, how does putting Gaudreau with him change that? And Jankowski on the first line--what exactly does that do for this team? How can it logically "get them going"They aren't going to score less 5 on 5
i dont know who to blame anymore. this has not been an effective 1st line for over a year spanning 2 playoffs...Can't get him the puck when he is over 12 feet behind the play.
