I do not think we can compare the two teams. That 93 team was vastly supior to the team we have now. Lebeau, Savard, Muller, Carbenneau are light years ahead of our group at centre. We also had Desjardins, an up and coming LeClair, Bellows and Damphousse to score.
The game is not over, but is sure feels that way. Coming back from an 0-2 hole going to New York is not possible with the roster we have. If we do get beaten in five, which is what this is looking like Bergevin and Timmins should be canned ASAP. The former has added no skill and offense to the team while the later has screwed up royally in the last ten drafts, especially in the first round. Not one of those players drafted have been an impact player. Aside from Koivu and Pacioretty the last players of note the team has drafted up front are LeClaire and Richer. That is 3 decades ago.
