To watch the Czech D-men is painful, exactly as expected. Russian PP on the other hand is among the best and most mature I have seen at WJC for a while. Overall, many Russian guys look like de facto fully developed players. They never panic, know very well when to speed up and when to slow down for a moment, make a back pass or keep the possession.

The loss of Lauko is a disaster. According to the game reporter there is some hope he could be OK for the next games, but the injury didn't look good at all. Feel so sorry for that guy.

One positive thing for the Czechs - Mysak look very promising.

Askarov dominated last years U18 that I was able to watch. He looks really shaky, off his angles and definitely nervous.
