I am salivating over that Cat / Kasper / Kane line. Despite not potting a goal, Kasper is a BEAST. He looks like he has lots of nice offensive tools in the toolbox. He drives the net like a powerforward. He shoots in tight (top shelf attempt). His wrist shot and slap shot are both wicked. The puck just follows him.

Wow, His tenacity reminds me of Zetterberg.
I think offense will come. This kid is really bought in on being 'responsible' and doing what coach says.

Was Veleno in tonight?
Wholeno?

#1 star: Broken Stick

Motte didn’t look bad on the first line. Getting a grinder/piano puller/Abdelkader type on the first line THAT WORKS could really hep us out and create some scoring depth (sorry, that probably triggered quite a few people)

Also enjoyed seeing that tenacity element on the first line from Motte. Better fit than Tarasenko IMO, but we just needed to change that whole thing up in general with Cat there (he's been great this year). If Motte was like a Chris Kreider bulldog type, our #1LW position would be locked down. Definitely need a top 6 complementary physical specimen on that line to take that off Larkin and Raymond. Motte will not be the answer as the seasons ages when we face bigger and better teams

Absolutely love how Kasper is fitting in defensively AND offensively on the 2nd line. Between Cat and Kane was a thing of beauty tonight and it looked like we had a legit top two lines generating chances finally

Compher on the 3rd line where he should be. Berggren is proving me wrong game after game and he's getting looks on any line he's been jerked around to

Please for the love of God can we see this Rasmussen show up every game?

Mo and Ed is such a breath of fresh air on the top pair. Happy for Mo to finally have a competent player next to him, one that may even surpass him down the line

Despite not tying up Holmstrom on the goal, AlJo needs to be in the lineup consistently. He has shown more good than bad this year and jerking him in and out of he pressbox is not good for his development. I'm continuing to prefer him in the lineup full-time with either one of Petry/Gustafson/Holl sitting

He looked really, really good tonight. With better linemates he was consistently dangerous, and the best part is he's the one driving the offence, he's definitely not a passenger.

If Kasper played like tonight, every single game, the points will come in bunches

I actually thought the team was pretty inept for 2 periods. It was comical how many of our shots got blocked at one point. But the defense was mostly solid and Lyon was a beast on some of those deflections.

I’m loving Edvinsson though. And you can tell he hasn’t even fully figured out that huge ass body of his. He should be a beast by 23/24.

Was at the game tonight felt like a real turning point type win.

Kasper was incredible tonight generates so much offense while not cheating for it. He's very good at staying above the puck in the O-zone.

Also thought Edvinsson was the best player on the ice tonight. Just different gravy.

Seeing their upcoming schedule over the next month and the East sucking outside of the top 5 teams, I wouldn't be surprised if the Wings are firmly in a playoff spot at the end of the year.

A gut-check game for the players and they answered it. We can talk about coaching and lay it all on them, but the players have a responsibility too especially after such a miserable road trip and so many uninspired games. Player leadership group at some point just has to lay it on the line for everyone: Are you in or are you out? They were all-in and the effort paid off. Doesn't absolve coaches at all or eliminate need for more help on D, no guarantees it continues, but it was great to see. The late comeback is a much-needed tangible reminder to all of them that things can turn around.

The way Kasper and Ed are playing, Berggren too, it's also a reminder to us fans that there is more coming and things will get better.

I'm happy we decided to hold on Berggren. He is your typical skilled euro player that needs a bit more time to adapt to the NHL. Reminds me Franzen with his development curve, wrist shot, attempts to slow down the game, etc.

And, also quite impressed with Kasper. If Danielson could be like Kasper, we'll get two Kesler types that other players hate to play against.

Motte looked like he wanted to win the game single handedly. Love it. Don't wait for others to make things happen... go out there and make things happen on your own.

Kasper looks like he's gaining confidence and starting to put it all together.

Mo looks shaky and like he needs a break. I think we've been riding him too much.

I still don't get the point of Rasmussen. Or Copp.

Everyone is still out of sync. It looks like they barely practice together. Everyone's zigging instead of zagging.

I think long-term that's MBN.
