I wish I knew why we we're either world beaters/globetrotters or we're tentative and collapsing
confidence and pressure. They need to learn to just play the system taught to them and not get out of that when they think they need a goal. They are capable of scoring goals, but the problem over the last few seasons is that it's been a track meet in most games, instead of defensively sound on our part.

Unless we start to bring the mf ruckus this game is gonna whittle away. Win some battles shift by shift and take it to the hole.
We play better with emotion..let's see some life

One issue with this team is the lack of offence outside of 3-4 players which doesn't make things any easier. Guys like Pinto and Greig have a combined 3 goals for example.
And those guy are offering niche offenc e

Brady can crash the net. Norris can slam one timers in on the pp.

We legit have one guy who can do anything 5 on 5 every shift

I don't think they are looking for a "pretty play"

I think they have no confidence and are looking for a "good shot" and not seeing one because opponents are clogging up shooting lanes. So they keep passing
They are looking for pretty plays. I see what less of it from vegas. Vegas shoots the f***ing puck. That's the difference between a team that's won a cup and one who hasn't sniffed the playoffs in umpteen seasons. The Senators are playing well tonight, but Gaudette really f***ed up on his coverage. Seems like he's been stapled to the bench since then.

I actually think they are fortunate only to be down 1-0 at this point, based on how disjointed the offense looks. Certainly not a result you can blame on Ullmark based on his lack of help!
Ullmark has singlehandedly kept them in this game. Its great to see since he has been bad. Team infront of him needs to sack up and play to win.

Stutzle seems discouraged...
This is the mental hurdle he needs to overcome this season.

He's already displaying that unending hunger that guys like Alfie and Griroux have/had.

He needs to avoid apathy and channel useful frustration. Pull your team into the game. Give guys absolute shit when warranted. Don't let up regardless of the outcome. Keep. f***ing. Fighting.

This team lack scoring 5vs5 mainly cause of bad chemistry , lack of skill,iq or speed .Like most seasons now. It'not only the forwards

Sanderson: Was hot early season now the guy does look like a top pairing at all.Nees more goals from him and points.

Chabot: Has been meh like usual but still produce decently for 2nd guy. Can't count on hum to score with his shot.

Jensen: Best defenseman so far this season

Zub: Was injured looks not up to pace yet.

Bottom pairing: Void. hhh no comment

Forwards

Norris: Doing fine for guy that get injured a lot. But right for a 8millions centre his best asset is how he dump pucks in control

Pinto : Missed a half of the games has still no chemistey with his linemates.Looks slow

Greig: got juggled a lot through lines and injury

Perron: Missed a lot od games. But yeag since start this guys no impact off ice or on the ice.

Cousins: Same as Perron no impact

Giroux: His play going dowhill but still goos player at his age.

Haven't seen much in the way of one-timers from Norris this year.

Wouldn't mind seeing G take his spot on the PP. Norris kills a lot of plays with bad passes.

I've been saying for a while that our offence lacks any type of true depth and its not on Staios either. No recent graduates who have made any significant impact on the team in a few years now. Outside of 1 good draft year and we have had poor management. If this year doesn't turn around, we can all be almost entirely sure that we will go through a few years of retooling the prospect pool along with some major trades to the core.

Spot on, add along the inconsistent goaltending and it sounds like a recipe for a disaster..yet were still in it. We can only be hopeful for so long however as the season starts to quickly move along.
