How many times does Gallant need to experiment with Goodrow in the top 6 to realize it doesn’t work? He’s a good player when he’s used as he should be. A bottom six energy guy who is good on the PK and spot up the lineup if needed. Using him in the top 6 and on the PP2 you’re basically asking for him to not be good because you’re not putting him in situations to succeed. Plus with his contract it’s basically asking the fan base to hate him.

Him basically never ever ever being a threat to shoot, let alone one time the puck, has really diminished his overall effectiveness. He’s still a great player obviously but when he’s in a funk like this he really needs to just start letting it fly from all angles. It will open up the fancy passing lanes he wants. Always passing and hesitating every time you have the puck basicslly ensures that you’re going to be forcing everything.

Start shouting the puck and the passing lanes will open. He’s one of the smartest players in the league, he knows this. Just needs to do it.

Because Krav isn't in, GG (and lots of people) want the kid line, and there's no-one else.
It's Goodrow, Blais or Goat; none of them are great options
