They aren't defending breakouts and teams have a literal express lane through the neutral zone. Zero resistance. 4 at the blueline but they just back up instead of standing up.

It's the worst neutral zone defense I've ever seen. They're not even in the frame most of the time.

It’s the opposite of the Grabner or Gaborik years, where we’d be airtight defensively and then just wait for a breakaway from either of them for a goal.
