He had the one decent chance the team had to score though. It came shorthanded, which doesn't inspire confidence, but other than Toffoli there's nobody worth talking about on the Kings after the 1st.

Funny. A few seconds before the goal, Martinez shot the puck with nobody near the net, and it's an easy save. Dowd makes a play, it gives other guys time to get to the net, and that second Martinez shot goes in.

Although I think DL will protect both I would not be surprised if Dowd is moving past Pearson in the lifeboat. DL loves the middle of the ice.
