Probably a correct assumption. Our top 6 is a bit light right now, but after Gagner we don't really have anyone who can play in the top 6.

You won't know unless you try them -
Copp was a good example of a players that looked better in the top 6 than he did on the third (referring to his later yrs) - and he was also late in getting that opportunity while being pegged as a grinder.
We have a couple of players I'd give a shot -

Honestly, we have scoring in our top 6 - they don't all have to be guys that can put it in the net at a high pace (and I realize you are not saying that).
Perfetti, Scheif, KC, PLD are all capable of scoring and making plays. Gagne would be the guy that doesn't fit (IMO) due to his lack of speed - and he's not a play driver - and Wheels who is simply slowing down. I'd use those spots for energy players who has some skill.
Gus / Mikey - I wonder how they might look?

Next will be to swap Harkins and Gagner, but let Gagner have 1 game with PLD and see how he looks there.

TBH, I don't know if they'll cut it - I'd just like to see a couple of guys get a shot, even if it's only a game.
I'm also impatient - it looks like Mikey might be moving up the third tonight if that roster posted earlier is accurate - I should be happy with that - baby steps.

I really like seeing players get opportunities - even if it's a long shot and potentially beyond their talent level - why not? Let's trot them out and have a look - and that means more than limited roles on the 4th where they are asked to keep it simple and pretty much focused on D.

Count me as another one who's been waiting for this kind of lineup. Love Connor with Dubois, and Gagner should be able to contribute there, as Svech did. Love Perfetti and Scheif, and hopefully Wheels can rekindle some of their old chemistry. I like Demelo and Heinola together too and giving Heinola more games to iron things out (really looking for him to get more comfortable, he was mad shaky in the last two).

Also predicting Perfetti to come out with a strong game here, and glad the coach is trusting him to line up next to Scheif.


Edit: scratch that about Heinola, guess they're giving him a press box game which makes sense. Snerg been playing very well i think
