I agree. He's fine. Or he'll be fine. Korpi is fine too. Pretty silly to spend this much on goalies when the play in front of them is this poor

I think Montgomery deserves some blame, but a lot of it is on the players. It's like they forgot how to play hockey.
How is this the same basic group that got ~106pts last year. Baffling. At least Korpi's playing better than his 8.25M contract, Oh "F" me, that's the other guy!
One positive was Korpi's goaltending. He's been a surprise in a season of disappointments, so far.
A few players had career years last season. And two of them are no longer on the BRUINS.

This is at the point now 20 games in ( 19 actually) where the GM and Cam who built this have to ask themselves if they think they were just dead wrong or can another coach fix this up and get them playing better.I mean they are not sure who to cover alot of times & taking bad penalties since the start of the season.And the kicker is the one thing that can help you ,the powerplay has been absolute trash.If they want to doubledown & keep Monty that is fine but if they miss playoffs it's on them to own it 100%.

That’s him distancing himself from the players. Heard Haggs say this what Julien did it also before he got canned. Monty is done. Maybe done too in that he probably wanted a contract extension in the summer is my guess and didn’t get one

I’d argue that they have too few “lunch pail” players that can and will do the dirty work for our skill players. Too few easy quick plays, too much looking for highlights and lacking the skill to execute consistently. They need a couple of PJ Axelssons.
They’ll never gel because they can’t read each other. Guys like Frederic, Brazeau and Geekie need to simplify and play straight line, dump and chase, shoot the puck hockey. I get the feeling that Monty wants them to “express themselves” or whatever, but it’s only resulting in chaos and disorganisation. If you’re “feeling it” on the night, by all means go ahead, but 70-80% of your lineup needs to focus on the simple things most nights unless you’re the 80’s Oilers.

.Serious note ,I am not in that dressing room to get proper vibe.Stuff like knowing what players think when they talk among themselves or looks on faces when Monty speaks etc.Some coaches the players will go through a wall for you but not getting that vibe will Jim.Anyhow ,Sweeney will be taking blame here if he keeps him the way they playing and it don't pan out.

Does Elias Lindholm just seem disinterested at times ,he just didn’t seem to even try to win that face off in OT.

Monty, Sacco, Kelly and Leach all need to go, they also need about 3 trades to change up the roster, lots to do, but Sweeney is more concerned about the 4 Nations cup, then the team that pays his salary.

I'm of the opinion that the worse it gets in the short term the better. If they have any shot at a playoff spot, not much will be done to fix this mess.

Just as the fans are, I really do think the team is also waiting for the shoe to drop.
Fire Monty (not saying it’s all his fault but it’s time for change). And depending on how they do the rest of the season you take it from there. Time to see if it was just a stale voice or a **** roster.
But enoughs enough. Lets go.
Coyle would be one of the first guys I try to move and improve on, he has an 8-team NTC, so he could be moved.
Can't trade Coyle because no team is gonna take his contract as a 4th line center.

I really thought that tournament would be a motivator for some players. Its unfortunate some Bruins players stock has seriously fallen.
