With better coaching it should be much better. I don't know what has happened to their structure but Leach has been an absolutely disaster of a hire as a demanding coach and our ST's should be miles better.

Washington was seemingly able to recover pretty quickly. However, Pittsburgh has completely bottomed out.

It’ll be interesting to see what the medium term prognosis is for this organization.

Washington basically went full throw shit at the wall and see what sticks mode in free agency. Trading for PLD, Mangiapane and Chychrun. Signing Roy. Getting rid of Kuemper in favor of bringing in Thompson to tandem with Lindgren.

Usually these types of last gasps backfire, yet Washington has made it work.

...Also helps that Dylan Strome decided he's going to produce at the rate of an elite top line forward too.
