Merkulov (or Lysell, Poitras etc) deserves a chance in place of Geekie in the top 6. Any offense at all is desperately needed. Likely does not work but better than what we have seen all season.

Merk has I think 9 assists, though. He makes things happen for the P Bruins after a bit of a slow start. Tufte is a talented guy. He should be doing that in the AHL and doing better in the NHL than he showed.

They should've sat Freddy and put Brown in for him last game (though I think TJohnson might be hurt so they didn't have anyone). I would rather see Brown out there these days than T Fred which is not so much an endorsement of Brown as an indictment of Freddy.

Well he definitely hasn't shown it in the NHL to this point, but he is a first rounder with good skills for his size. By talented, I mean he is a good AHL player. Lettieri is a talented guy as well who can score in the A. I guess my only real point is not that Tufte is going to be a good player for us (sadly), but that him scoring goals in the AHL should not be a surprise.

Monty will probably make him the 13th forward citing that he just doesn't get the system and plugs Tufte on the top line, rest of the lines in a blender. Team goes on to lose 6-0 while Monty plays Shadow puppets on the glass.

Or they will put Merk on the first or second line and he comes up huge with a goal and two helpers are oth the Bruins winning 6-0 all while Monty plays Shadow puppets on the glass.

Either way Monty will be Monty

I cancelled my NESN360 as the team isn't worth spending that kind of money on. I've literally been so bored I've been shutting off the game midway through and going upstairs to bed with a book. I think I have 4-5 more days left of my subscription, then I'll just put on 98.5 if they have the game on.
