Would be brutal for this team. Neither should have a coaching job. I believe we should make a trade soon and even over pay if it makes sense. We don't need to get tougher we need to get smarter. Way, way to many penalties.

Gives us any of the last 10 years Lady Byng winners. That's the kinda of players we need.

It’s also not necessary, this isn’t on Bear. The only reason would be a wake up.
I dont know. The players for some reason seem to lack the ability to play tough nosed, fight it out, push back , you aint beating us hockey. I think thats on the coaches. Sometimes they do, but other times they fold up like a cheap lawn chair. That cant be ok, but apparently it is. The Stars coach way back ( Hitchcock) used to say that the Yotes always folded when faced with adversity. Still seems true.

That’s the make up of the players, I don’t think it’s on the coach.

Pasta agrees with that….

Coaches often get the shaft, and it isn’t always due to being a bad coach. Sometimes it takes a wake up call.

They are who we thought they were….

They play best when they play loose … so as soon as we are eliminated, look for them to play similar to how they played the first few games of the season , when they had us believing we were a bubble playoff team

BA improved the D , like he said we would…but I think we are a better team , different even - with Durzi in the lineup

The main issue with this team is mental … they don’t learn … they can’t seem to remember what makes them successful, they are the most penalized team in the league …again .. they make the most mistakes, day in and day out….still the same with new players ..what does that leave? Hate to say it but…but coaches need to prepare the team , hold people accountable, make changes when something doesn’t work … like our PP for example

When teams don't play good for an extended period of time there is plenty of blame to go around. Like DT said that when a team plays good, the coach gets too much of the credit, and when they play bad, the coach gets too much of the blame. In other words, the players have to do their job. They are told what to do, so do it. IF they don't or can't do it many times the GM will make a trade, and if that doesn't work then a new coach comes in. Like they say, it's easier to change a coach than it is to trade 20 players.

I think these guys love Bear and would go through a wall for him, but they can't, it's just not in their DNA. The question becomes can exterior forces change their DNA.

Pasta agrees with that….

Here I thought the only thing Pasta and I had in common was our prowess on the ice!

Maybe I am alone here, but I think many of you guys are over-reacting. We had no right being in that Carolina, yet if you simply look at the scoreboard, we kicked their butts. But that happens in hockey. Sometimes you get all the bounces and the other guys don't.

Inversely, I felt we were the better team against Vegas, and they really didn't deserve to win that game. But their shots hit the mark more consistently, and ours did not. If I recall correctly, the post game advance stats that Dominic Moore likes to go over says we should have won that game.

I also felt that we were the slightly better overall team against Washington, but they were sinking a high % of their shots, and we did the complete opposite. I believe we hit 6 posts, 2 in the first, 3 in the second, and 1 in the 3rd. Washington hit just 1 or 2 and those were both late in the game. I believe it was midway through the 2nd period, Moore went over the shot attempts, and we had almost twice as many as Washington.

And then there was our goalies, they were bad in the Washington game. Each one of them gave up 2 bad goals. My point being, the effort was there all game, the problem was we missed the net with an insane number of our shots, and both our goalies had bad nights. The effort was there, but the execution was poor. Those are fixable items without firing the coach or making a trade.
