Yeah, the amount of garbage people throw at Luongo is sickening. Why can't we just use common sense and say that our goalie is being hung out to dry (like our goalies...both of them...tend to be more often than not), the officiating appears to be a bit lopsided, and we need to respond offensively and match the intensity on the PP.

Luongo hasn't been good today.

Having said that, why must we always find a singular person or thing to hang blame on? It's been a fire drill in the defensive zone, Luongo hasn't been sharp, our special teams has been bad, and the officiating has been horrible.

Add that up, and we need a big third period.

I'll be the first to admit I don't think Luongo is having a good game, but the lack of defensive awareness has been a recurring theme in this game.

My prediction is the refs skate onto the ice for the 3rd period wearing red wings jerseys.

Blaming one person is easier than 20.

Exactly. There have been a host of problems today. Luongo has been one of them but hardly the biggest.

Kesler has been invisible on the road this year... zero impact on games.

Luongo went down because he expected the shot to go through the pile of bodies but it hit Garrison's skate in front and bounced right to Brunner in the slot. The problem wasn't him going down, the problem is him not getting back up and getting over to Brunner. He chose the easier save selection and stuck his glove out instead. He probably expected Brunner to shoot right away but being the smart goal-scorer he is, Brunner held on a bit and roofed it.

Stop being so logical please.

on both sides?

Yeah, the hook Brunner was called on and the charge Tootoo was called on were pretty weak. It just seems like it's worse for you guys because you haven't capitalized on yours and we have.

Well you can't be good in every game but seriously the NHL is a joke right now why did they even touch that stupid rule book. A official can't even do a job properly surprised they didn't call Datysuk's goal a goal. Hope the Canucks comeback and spoil Detroit's fun.

Why is he going down if he expected a shot to go through? The butterfly covers the bottom of the net.

Agree about the easier save selection. But this is a tendency of Luongo when having to move side to side. Not a good goal.

sick of the hater blaming Luongo.....he is not the big problem right now

He's been okay, not like hes getting hung out to dry.

Kesler is a lot higher on my list of under performing players. Outside the pp he has been a detriment to this team

I said earlier the team just is not coming out skating and working putting forth a strong effort again, we are winning some games, but like last year, we cant head into playoffs with this work ethic.
