With Nichushkin, Wood, and Drouin all back tomorrow night, this move wasn't required. Tynan and Prishchepov were already sent down. Wagner would be the 13th forward and healthy scratch.

Theory:

Wagner is being waived so that we can keep sending him up and down to accrue cap space on a daily basis.

I don't believe he will get claimed.
