Ullmark has terrible rebound control. I've been saying it all year. Either that or he needs to change his pads cause they are spitting out massive rebounds.
IIRC, it's a deliberate thing where he wants the rebound to bounce out far to reduce rebound goals. The problem is that it then hit Sanderson's leg, going straight to McDavid. If that doesn't hit Sanderson, the puck is out of trouble.

Also why should players even try when they know it wil all go to waste when a puck is anywhere near Ullmark?

He’s done nothing to give them confidence.

The problem is this team never got rewarded when they played well. Now we might see them drift away from what they were doing. It’s natural.
Over-adjusting is a sign of a young and inexperienced team. They should have progressed past this point by now, but they haven't.

I think goaltending doing its job in some of those games we dominated could have gone a long way in helping this team’s psyche. Unfortunately they have to try to score and babysit Ullmark at the same time. It’s not easy.

Edmonton is a porous team with bad goaltending, so we can get back into it.

It may seem panicky but the next 40 minutes could honestly dictate where this team goes this year.

We lose tonight, then we probably lose in Vegas, then we’re under .500 and we never get out of it.

His hand touched the puck. There is no judgement to be made. Giroux f***ed up and cost his team a goal.
The rule isn't if it touches your hand you get a penalty, the ref has to determine you attempted to win the faceoff by batting the puck with your hand, I'd have to watch it again but the discretion is similar to a goal going in off a glove, you can't intentionally direct the puck in with your glove but accidental contact is fine.

Did they jump the gun in giving Ullmark his 4 year $8.25M contract before getting a real good look at him with this team? It doesn't look promising so far/

We’re under .500 after we lose tonight.

People keep mentioning the loss to mtl last night. Well… their goalie stopped 30 f***ing shots lol. We’re lucky if Ullmark stops 10

Oilers are a fragile team also, my buddy in Edmonton was saying we still have a chance Edmonton tends to give up a lot of goals in the third and lose games.

I'm not going to get into it right now but I'm starting to think there's a couple of guys on defense who maybe shouldn't be here next year if we can't get this turned around real fast. I'll just say I'm starting to sour on Chabot and Zub anchoring our defense moving forward. I am not saying they're horrible defensemen, but they just might not be the right fit for us moving forward.

This team has outchanced the opposition most of the season, but unfortunately there's a difference between that and outscoring the opposition.

Ullmark needs to get his head out of his ass and make a save, and the team needs to start finishing on their chances.

Definitely the most frustrating start to the season I can ever recall.

I understand they probably wanted to get them in under a good contract where if he had a monster season he probably would have elected for free agency and got paid maybe more. However, I thought it was very premature to pay the man before we seen him play a single regular season game.

One of the problems with this team is everybody got paid, and now nobody's hungry to get paid.
