Did you intend to say that Ottawa has more fans than any other NHL team? Probably not, but that’s what you typed.
I think he means that Ottawa is home to the largest number of fans of other (Non-Ottawa teams. Ever notice that when we play another Canadian team the arena is like 50/50? I heard multiple loud "Lets go Oilers" chants in my section, let alone throughout the arena. Sens fans are timid and love to sit on their hands or stare at their phones instead of being actively engaged. I have no clue why people even go to games when it's quieter than a library half the time.

I didn’t say anything. I asked a question.
You can't ask a question without saying anything. I was referring to what you said in your question, obviously.

Basically, your question left out a few key words from his statement that completely change what the sentence means...your question missed those words and therefore made you interpret something completely different from what he said.

Chabot handled it poorly but wtf was Cousins(?), or maybe it was Norris, doing? He spun around and skated out of Bouchard's way to open up a lane straight down the middle, no back pressure, nothing.
It was Cousins who identified too late that Norris was already covering 97 and spun around
But getting smoked by a D not named Makar, Hughes or some other super speedy all-star D is unforgivable
Anyway bad play all around and bad night all around

Chabot got flat out beat, it's a teachable moment, take the body, shit happens. Cousins though is inexcusable. He flat out didn't do his job and looked lost. No clue what he's doing out there with Norris and Greig, but he needs to come out of the lineup when Gregor is healthy. I thought he was going to be a good addition, and while the 4th line has been a pleasant surprise, he just hasn't been the pest he is supposed to be.

Don’t think Hamonics play is the big issue, at least lately. That’s kind of the lazy analysis imo. I’m not saying he’s good. It's just that there other issues & problems. We could use some more goal production, and saves though.
I think a major problem last night was the Hamonic/Klevin pairing caused the least of our issues…. This is eye test only and I didn’t check playing time or matchups but when your depth pairing becomes noticeably better than the top 4 D then you are probably having issues. I would like to see JDB back in for a game to change something up if nothing else. Hamonic could come out to watch a couple but so could Klevin or Zub.

Hopefully Gregor gets back healthy soon. I like him as regular for the bottom 6 much more than all of Cousins, Gaudette or McEwen.

Agree with another poster who said Pinto isn’t quite up to speed yet either. Before his injury he had been pressuring puck carriers and stealing pucks like a lite version of Mark Stone. I think I’d try moving him to a top six wing a few games and see if he can regain some scoring confidence.

Hamonic and Kleven were split up for most of the game. From about two shifts into the second period on it was Jensen with Kleven, and Chabot with Hamonic.

I wonder if that was more to keep Jensen a little sheltered after he hurt his neck in a game where we had nothing vs. a "shake it up" move, though.

Jensen didn't get hurt until late in the 2nd, so unlikely as the change happened about 15 mins earlier.

The change happened following a goal against the Chabot-Jensen pair, Chabot missed a shift and then Jensen took Hamonic's place with Kleven his next shift, and Chabot took Kleven's place with Hamonic

Ah. I also didn't realize the pairings were being shifted before Jensen had been hurt. Not sure what's up with those changes.

Well, I think Chabot got beat on two goals, so they wanted to get him away from the top 6? idk.

Maybe. At least Chabot recognized and acknowledged in the post game comments that he sucked pretty badly. He has generally been better than last year so far so hopefully he can rebound next game.
