They had a stretch of good underlying numbers and they weren’t rewarded with results because the goalie sucked. Now they’re resugned to the fact they’re losers so I’m not expecting them to return to that level of play. There’s no positive reinforcement.
So same as every year

4 goals on 17 shots! Sens D is swiss cheese.
Ironically if you strap the pads on one of them it might work.

Amazing how people forget other teams shortcomings when saves are made.

Oilers were atrocious in the first.

There is no number that suggests pur defence is bad

I mean Ullmark was good even in Buffalo

He isn’t looking good but its no coincidence no G is good here lol

I keep reading look at the underlying numbers truth is they just suck honestly

Until they actually string together consistent wins, this is a bad team.

They have never won, and it shows. They aren't confident in their game, and for good reason. Never been a winning team, don't know how to be one.

Maybe they get there, but less likely with every loss

To be honest I think our defense has been pretty bad tonight. But generally I agree we have been good this season.

You literally couldn’t ask for a better scenario to play the Oilers with their schedule. This team might just not be cut out to win in the NHL.

It was becoming evident even last year. Signing a new goalie and hiring a mediocrity as head coach isn’t gonna change the underlying reality that this team’s players just aren’t that good.

Has a feeling like it couldn’t go more wrong, and they just need to sit for second and think about it and turn it around.

See it all the time in sports. When a team realizes it is facing certain death they turn it around and it‘s a rallying moment

The 2nd goal was a direct result of a brutal giveaway by Zub. Chabot is still looking for his jockstrap on the first goal... Not sure we are watching the same game

New Owner
New GM
New coaching staff
New bottom 6
New goaltender

Playing the same game with the same obvious flaws and bad habits as 2,3,4 years ago. How does this happen?

You're hilarious. When we play well you do the emosaurus thing and tonight we're legit playing like shit and here you are telling everyone how awesome the team is.

How do you guys think the NHL will use James Hagens when they take him with our pick?

I could see him excelling in a Junior Accounting role. You don't want to rush him to a full Accounting position too early and risk stunting his development.
No way

They are trading that pick to Vegas for future considerations

The fact that this is how we respond to blowing a 4-2 lead then getting shutout, playing a tired team, tells me so so much about where this team is headed. The maturity will never be there.

Bunch of guys who love living the NHL lifestyle but aren’t willing to do what it takes to win. We have some flashes, sure, but every team has flashes. Columbus and Anaheim have good games too.

Feel Norris, Brady, Chabot and Batherson only look good when the whole team is playing well and it's easy to look good.

But they vanish in these games.

Like they straight up go from looking dominant to nothing.
