Feels like A league team playing against Lower C team in my beer league

Newhook looked concussed on that slam down
The replay just showed Shattenkirk taking his free hand and throwing Newhook to the ground.

No consistency in this league.

Maybe Newhook was just staying down a second longer to try to draw a penalty.

Would be curious who the Habs scouts were that Hughes mentioned liking Gustav Lindstrom, ha ha.

Since people are having this conversation. Caufield's "goals above expected" is at -0.7 goal, in other words, he should have 5-6 goals (more 6 than 5). The majority of his shots are low quality perimeter chances with low percentage of success.

People thinking he should have more than that just think that goalies can't do the job they are paid for. Probably the result of watching Allen/Monty plays the last 2.5 years.

As a note, Anderson sit dead last in the league in "goals above expected" at -5.3.
It's not a great analysis of advanced stats. And those that know me know I'm one of the advanced stats nerds on this board. :|

Cole is EXPECTED to significantly outperform his ixGF. He has a significantly higher finishing than the rest of the league from those "low quality perimeter" shots.

Posting this one early today.

Let him walk then. Monty is not a starter.
Might as well trade both , keep Primeau and trade for a crap goalie with bad terms to get a good pick in the change

No this team needs some serviceable netminder back there, you think it's ugly now? It would be much much worse and not good for the team at all. Especially the young D.
