I really hope that JD and Jarmo realize that last year was a fluke run (a really badly timed one given how excellent Mackinnon and Jones have been).

We have some very good building blocks (Joahnsen, Atkinson, Murray, Bob JJ) but we need to replace dead weight and really commit to a full rebuild. Trade Gaborik, Umberger, and a few other pieces. This team hasn't magically turned into a contender somebody needs to pull their head out of their @$$ and make the call. You don't succeed in this league without superstars and you only find those in the draft. We need to stop the half measures and commit to building this team the right way.

Edit:
Also, its not like we have to be worried about bad attendance and losing money both of which are already present.

not sure if serious

chaput is earning his ice time...and well Foligno is a top 9 forward...

I'm fully serious in Richards' defence. Put it on the fire Richards thread to show folks he is putting the right guys on the 4th line.

I am not in favor of a rebuild. Also can you keep this stuff out of the GDT? Just my opinion but its not the right place. Give it its on thread if you want.

OMG.... Neil Young and Steven Stills..... I saw those dudes play once.... awesome...

Neil Young's father was a famous Canadian sportswriter.........very involved in the early days of HNIC.

Buffalo Springfield got their name from a steamroller they saw on Hollywood Blvd. Those were manufactured in Springfield, Ohio in the 1950s. Trivia lesson over.

Why Buffalo Springfield?

Because Foligno's from Buffalo and Chaput was just called up from Springfield?

Nice.... and Neil Young spent most of his post Edmonton? music time (16-19) in Toronto and came to the USA after Rick James (Buffalo) got to know him in Toronto... :)

I think they do.... that run was basically Bobrovsky, Calvert and Atkinson.... most of the professional NHL know this...

I think its a very very difficult thing to recapture. But don't take too many conclusions when you get outcompeted by the Bruins. You were a fool if you thought we were as good as the Bruins.

Edit: I want to emphasize that I don't think it was a fluke. It was magic. A difficult thing to repeat.

Man we've had a lot of chances so far this period!

Gotta capitalize. Opportunities like that are rare against the Bruins.
