Why are there SO MANY "Too Many Men on the ice" penalties from this team, when they have such a well-respected coach??? The Blues players are almost all the same as last year, and yet they have been so much less disciplined than last season. Why is this happening? The Blues' young players have been believing their press clippings from last season, and also believed the hype that Tarasenko coming over would boost their offence enough to make them a dominating team. But, they forgot that what made their smothering defence was mainly hard work and adhering to the 2-way system.
Jackman thought Petro was coming off so he jumped on but Petro was not going off.
Like I said a couple weeks ago every one needs to start fighting each other while on the bench and then come together as a team again like on Major League II and if that does not work than send them all to the minors!
But seriously I think what they need a very physical game with lots of fights, borderline play, and emotion to get them playing together and looking out for each other. Surprisingly we have not had a game like that yet this year. It used to happen just about any time we played SJ or ANA but times have changed. I was hoping it would happen tonight since CLB games are usually physical but it isnt going to happen tonight either.
They are not playing with any heart they need a good emotional jolt to get going, but its looking less and less likely that it is going to happen on the ice so the front office needs to do something soon, if the players are not going to make it happen.
