I thought Oesterle was pretty awful in the preseason. Would have liked to see Sweezey with the call-up. Played some nice physical hockey.

I do see that Oesterle has 8 points (3G, 5A) in 9 games for Providence though so maybe he's the right choice.


I don’t think it matters we have a LD playing on the right side with Peeke being injured..

Sweezey earned it in preseason but only the posters here who watch Providence would truly know.

Seems a dreadful choice however similar to a Patrick Brown playing in Boston. Both in their 30s, AHL nobodies in reality.

Osterle has 6 seasons where he played more then half a seasons worth of games at NHL level .Yea he is 32 now and call up material but his resume is alot better then Browns so that comparison to me at least is a slight.He will do his job is my bet.
