Smith is not an nhler yet. He’s a team worst -8 in limited minutes. He had one good game all year.

He’s. Not. There. Yet.

The longer he stays in the lineup the more games he shakes will lose. Eventually he will get good, but I think the shakes are better off with hush, cards, or graf in the nhl instead.
So Granlund who was a team worst -7 before tonight should have been sent down too?

Will Smith has had multiple good games, nobody besides you and your stupid bets would even care if he was costing them games if it helped his development.

Luckily Michkov's goal doesn't count, wasn't 5-on-5

Nobody is saying he is a finished product, but every one wants him in the best position to succeed and that is not being stapled to Kunin and Goodrow.

Heck if hey do not want to give him top 6 linemates at 5 on 5 then guve him top unit power play minutes and let him and Celebrini do there thing like michkov is doing in philly.
I agree with all of this, it also doesn't mean he's an NHL top-6 forward right now, he's a purely developmental project

Great comeback but the OT pp really infuriated me. 4 guys standing still.

I love the heart. Love the no quit attitude. But the coaching staff has some real work to do. 7 games no pp goals stinks.

I look forward to Walmans return. They miss his offense, though it shouldn’t be Thompson sent down.

Not terrible.

Nothing to do with the bets. I want to see wins cuz I like wins. I don’t want to trade future assets to win now, but I want to see wins. I want them to ice the best roster to win games.

It’s not just the -8. He has one great pass and two nice shots. I suppose a few other good plays but his defensive game is not good enough. I guess the sharks have decided that he stays no matter what but he is definitely contributing to losses far more than wins.

Personally I think gushkin, cardwell, and graf are more nhl ready.

On the bright side, Thompson is proving himself a clear nhlwr. Dick is doing well. Pohlcamp is crushing in Denver, cagnoni is point per game in the cuda. The D of the future looks good….

The Sharks desperately need to try someone else on the first line Dellandrea is not it. I want them to do Eklund there and then slot Smith on the Granlund line but if they don’t want to break the Lund line up, you gotta try Smith with Celebrini. Sadly I think Warso is going to go with Dellandrea/Kunin/Goodrow on that first line

By every possession and impact metric he has been the best player on his line for weeks now. He has had a lot more chances than you are giving him credit for.

You have a clear bias here so let's just leave it at that.

Maybe you’re right. Maybe I have anti smith glasses. I would love to be proven wrong. Would love him to start being a plus player and start see him getting some good results and impacting the game in a positive way when he’s on the ice.

I think we feel that way because we really stink at it! I am so pessimist every time… 1-6 last year. 0-2 this year.

We stink at it!
No, it's just a stupid gimmick that reduces a team sport into a skills competition. It's fake excitement for results that aren't necessary.

It was always dumb, even when the Sharks were good at it.

Love the comeback effort but god our PP sucks. It’s actually costing us games at this point.
Yeah and I don’t think it’s a personnel thing. Just way too stagnant with so little movement. The great pps have all five guys constantly buzzing, switching, dropping, and skating off the puck. That player movement opens new passing lanes, tires out the pk, and eventually gets great chances.
