It's crazy how much we need him. I have a hard time imagining us win without him. It makes it worse that Seider is clearly hurt right now, but still, it's incredible how fast Ed has made himself irreplaceable to this team.
speaking of still waiting on seider to take that next step. He’s more or less been the same player since his first year. Which is a top pairing guy mind you. but i haven’t seen much improvement to become elite

I think we've some steady improvement honestly. He's much more responsible and consistent than he was as a rookie and is now putting up the same points. I'd love it if he can go from a 50 point guy to a 70+ point guy. There's usually only ~10 defenseman that can put up those numbers, they all play on teams with better offenses than Detroit and most don't take the same defensive minutes that Seider does.

I think he's moving into that elite tier. He's not the best defenseman in the league, but he's top 20 at least. I think you can argue for somewhere around 10-15. Another ten points and tilting the ice a bit more and he'll be firmly there. I think we're likely to see that, especially if Ed can keep being a great partner for him.

I believe Talbot is in. I would like to see Tarasenko up on the top line for a bit. See what he can do. And PK needs fixing big time.

Edvinsson out. Johansson was going to be scratched  but now in the lineup.

Isn't Murph's 76 points as a rookie defenseman the NHL record, not just the LA Kings record?

Technically it's not. Mark Howe's first NHL season where he scored 80 is the record but he'd also played 6 WHA seasons before that. I believe Howe is recognized as the record holder.
