especially when your line centered by Sidney Crosby is just another line.Without at least 3 lines that are a threat to score, you're essentially just another hockey team.
I'm not really seeing Sid as snake bit. He's just playing bad. Can't even remember the last time it looked like he was threat to score a goal.
Guentzel is getting chances but can't bury them.
How is Crosby playing bad tonite? He's been great..
bad by his standards anyways. Tonight he has 0 shots.
That was an even period of hockey...against the Coyotes. That's an issue.
Yeah G's line looks the best. Really flying.I would also point out that Sid played 14+ minutes while Geno played nearly 2 minutes less and Phil nearly 3 minutes less. With the way those guys are playing, that makes zero sense....
Have we? L4 is the only line that doesn't have 2 pretty damn fast guys on it. We have what, 1 less speedy guy in vs last year?I think the issue is that we no longer have an overall strength with the lineup, speed. We have lost our identity, could we develop a new one? Maybe. But that's going to take time and adjustments with the roster. Now, we are a mish mash of talent, no cohesion.
Haula... please. We know Crosby's gonna sort his **** out though. A good 3C will let us roll at least 3 lines that can score.
+ to Malkin,Kessel, Schultz, Rust, Murray, and Letang(that period)
- to Sid(sigh), Hornqvist, Dumoulin, Kuhn
Everyone else is average.
Haula... please.
