Here we go, here we go, here we go again. Blues go up against Buffalo tonight and Blues are now only 2 points up on the last place teams in the league. Good news is Thomas is skating and is on the trip. Bad news is im worried he's rushing himself to get back way too soon because we suck.

I am pretty sure this might be the same location as a few days ago with a different angle. Still nice tho.

Lineup
Same train

I would switch forwards to:

Joseph-Holly-Kyrou, speed speed, speed
Saad-Schenn-Buch, wingers would offset the defensive weakness at center
Jake-Faksa-Aussie, lots of hate combined with go to the net
Toro-Sunny-Kapp

I'm not a fan of sitting Bolduc for another game. He was one of the few players who didn't quit in that gutless 8-1 effort against Washington - to see him get healthy scratched twice in a row, when he's been a very responsible player who's been a bit snakebit is extremely frustrating to me.

Kapenen, Saad, Schenn, and frankly Neighbors would all be higher on my list to miss a game over Bolduc at this point, especially after he undeservedly sat one out already.

If Bannister had any stones at all he'd f***ing scratch Schenn. We would be better off with a motivated AHL player then Schenn at this point.

What did Saad do to get promoted? He should be scratched with Tex after that abysmal effort.

I recognize Schenn's whipping boy status but scratching our 2nd best center on a team lacking good centers doesn't sound like a wise move, despite Schenn's less than stellar play recently.

Scratching Neighbours over Bolduc? Fans sure do like to play favorites I guess. Wasn't someone talking about Blues fans and their penchant for low scoring hustle guys earlier? Kapanen doesn't score much and hustles too but he isn't anywhere near as popular as Bolduc around here.

so just to translate that,

"whipping boy status"

means criticism of Schenn (or whomever, Schenn is merely the example of the moment) is bad faith, and if you do it, your motives are suspect. Schenn isn't the bad guy, you are.

Whenever one player gets more criticism than another, they are the whipping boy and this only proves the fans are the worst and the observations are wrong. It's a slavish devotion to protecting authority that has to drive it, since its purpose is to attack criticism itself

I really don’t get it either. You could add Texier to that list of players as well.

Schenn is actively hurting the team every time he's out there. I'd take Zach Dean over Schenn at this point, at least Dean could learn something that might be useful for our franchise later on. Schenn was trash last year, he's even worse trash this year. He's going to continue to decline - we're better off using his ice time to try and develop someone else, b/c he's sure as shit not helping us win games.

I specifically said Kapanen should sit over Bolduc. At least Bolduc looks dangerous at times.

I don’t think it’s worth getting too worked up about vets like Schenn and Saad being warm bodies this year with the team going nowhere. But I definitely have a problem with Bolduc sitting in favor of a zero like Kapanen. This is the perfect season to find out if one of our more NHL ready prospects can handle 82 games and contribute (or not) as a middle 6 winger who can play 2nd PP.

Jesus, how long of a leash is that meaningless 3 point game in preseason going to give Kapanen? Predictably, he goes right back to being useless with only 1 point 10 games into the regular season.

That’s why I didn’t like bringing him back even as a spare forward, because I agree Bolduc needs to be in the lineup over him.

Not sure how Saad got a promotion after being on the 4th line last game either…

Krapanen sucks, I'll take Bolduc at RW over him any day. I actually like Bolduc on his off side, maybe get him some goals in the process. Or not but no mas Krapanen por favor.
