Actually I think the reason they usually win is because they have enough effort and play the system well enough to make up for the lack of talent. They are not talented enough to float through games like that.

Not that the game was bad enough, but I just LOVE how these idiots didn't even attempt to make that ****ing oaf even move an inch in the net. I mean are you serious? Bishop literally just stood there on every ****ing attempt.
When you play like absolute dog **** and still have a golden opportunity to take two points, you grab them and get the **** out of dodge. They deserved the loss, but that piss poor effort in the shootout was an absolute joke.

Honestly I'm just glad they lost. No excuses or "we got 2 points anyway" BS. I hope Lou makes a point of this poor show.

He was in their heads plan and simple. Marty stole us a point. If we play Anderson I think we score 2 goals maybe. If not 3.
This team also needs to stop playing for the shootout. Last years shootout wins were a one trick pony. Need to win it in OT. It didn't help that we had to kill off a penalty the first two minutes though.
It was a good choice. Zajac couldn't hit the damn net all game and Butler played well.

I like how people on here call the players idiots and such even though they are in first place. Teams have slumps, there is no perfect season. Better to get it out of the way early.

The thing that people forget is we don't have good shooters behind Kovalchuk and Elias. Even Elias isn't that good of a shootout player.
Zajac and Henrique aren't skill players, they play better in game.
Clarkson would've probably been the next best option, but after that, it's a crap shoot.
Please don't tell me you thought Poni would do better. If Kovalchuk doesn't score, then our shootout chances don't look good at all. In the shootout is one of the places where we really miss Parise.
