No need to panic yet......but I don't blame anyone for doing so.

It's starting to feel like this franchise is cursed. If we're still seeing this after xmas...then we're in trouble.

He didn’t earn anything with the two previous wins. He was good and reliable in those games, but it’s not like he stole thise games.
There was no need to steal those games as the team played sound hockey.

He didn't need to steel this game as the team played, for the most part, sound hockey. He just needed to be average in all 3 games. He was Soogard/Forsberg vs LA bad this game.

I'm more interested in how Gord lead an answer with a question Wilson phrased his post game soft balls.
Save to say you want the defense to support your goalie a little better coach?

He's still a better goalie than Forsberg. I still go with him in the next game.
Is he? Is he right now?

Personally you got paid f*** how you feel you’re going back in.

They played a great game. Philly pushed back a bit in the third, but 9 times out of 10 the senators win that one.

Ulmark dropped the ball. He had a brutal game, but what matters is that the team still got a point, and ulmark plays better in the next one

If the senators play like that more often then they don't... thats a play off team. Provided ulmark can provide at least average goaltending... which I think he can.

Shitty loss. But the senators have looked better in the past stretch than they have in years. No need to lose our minds just yet

Yeah at that point I expected any shot to go in, even from 200 feet away.

I honestly didn't think he was hard enough on himself in his interview. Like, you literally cost your team a game they dominated except for like a few minutes here and there. You should just outright say that and not mince words.

Yeah. I’d expect you go back to him. Green didnt go back to him when Ullmark blamed himself for a previous loss however. He was even worse tonight. I mean Ullmark is clearly the starter as he is paid like it. But you can’t keep letting down your team when they’ve played well in games more often than not.

Yeah he made it sound like the loss was a team efforr which is whatever. I don’t know id being hard on yourself is beneficial as a goalie but it came off a bit ridiculous hearing it like that.

Ullmark .890 save % over 10 games.

Korpisalo had a .890 last year in front of a much worse team.
No excuses, but I’m still a believer in Ullmark he’s been good his whole career it’s just unfortunately taking him longer to get a strong streak of good play together right now - He needs to be at .910 for us to have any shot I think he’s very capable.

It's because he was so honest the last game he played poorly in that this feels like he's trying to make excuses.

All the points we have lost in games we outshot and outplayed our opponents hurt our playoff chances equally. Hopefully this crappy team turns it around fast! Our goaltending has let us down.
"This crappy team"

We have 5 points out of 6 in our last 3 games, outshooting the opposition by an average of 37.3 to 20.7 per game.

Honestly only this game and the Vegas game are the ones I dwell on. Should have 2 extra points minimum between them and both games were pretty much self-inflicted.

Unfortunately goaltending was a dud in both games too.

I think these types of games are deflating. They bust their asses only to have one of the highest paid guys on the team lose it for them multiple times already. I'm expecting a weaker performance next game.
I doubt it. They know they dominated and a teammate had a terrible night.

Honestly, Green doesn't have to say much really.

I mean....yes, they could suck next game, but I wouldn't say it's because they're deflated from this game

I want to see what we look like on Saturday after that atrocious performance in goal.

Last year we played ourselves out of a playoff spot in late November, early December with big losing streaks.

This was a hard game to lose. Harder than the Vegas one.

It feels like the path to the playoffs is going to be a nail-biting one this year despite the team being competitive or outright dominant in the vast majority of their games. That's the difference year over year. Last year we had a similar-ish record but it felt fluky. This time around it feels like we've earned every single point and lost some we shouldn't have lost if our goaltending was league average.

There’s really nothing the team can so other than keep doing what they’re doing. They won’t say it but they know what happened. It gets truly deflating if they keep playing well and every odd man rush in our end the pucks ends up in the back of the net.

At this point goaltending decides what happens. If we lose games like we did tonight it’s only natural players will lose interest.
