The problem is that he was brought-up and kept over Hickey when Hickey had been the best defenseman in Manchester while Muzzin was making one boneheaded play after another down there. Many people didn't like the move at the time, and Muzzin isn't making us look wrong

He has been a disaster in almost every game so far this season.

I told you, he doesnt belong in the NHL. He wasn't even very good in the AHL.

He cant even control the puck in the offensive zone. Basic hockey.

Drewiske is a 7th D and he's considerably better than Muzzin. Like you said, it's his brains, the kid just isn't very sharp.

I don't know what TG's fascination is with Muzzin, but he is not good enough to be a regular dman in the NHL. Had it not been for injuries, he would be where he belongs, in the minors.

Nobody is asking for him to be a savior, just stop making stupid mistakes, which Muzzin is prone to do constantly.

I agree with that assessment. There's no doubt in my mind that when lewis is on his game he is a top 6 player. The second line has been dangerous every shift he has played on it. Wasted talent on the 3rd line.

Fair enough but, Muzzin if played on our bottom pairing along side a solid Dman (Greene) would be doing great right now as a rookie. He is showing that when he feels that it is up to him (right or not) to lead the way that he panics and makes poor decisions at times.

That is what happens with rookies, what changes things is when they are paired with vets who can calm them down and help them develop. I was always on the Hickey band wagon and think his play on the Isle is showing that he too can play at the NHL level. How successfully is yet to be proven but so far so good.

Same with Muzzin, in time we will see. I believe he will be a 3rd pairing dman who is pretty good.
 
Wow like 3 bad plays in a row led to that penalty...to bad 2 of them were on Ellerby...
 
Our defense makes some really stupid decisions at times. Very stupid.

How old is DavisD and how many games of NHL experience did he have going into this season?

I haven't any fascination for Muzzin, I only think that he is doing fine for a rookie bottom pairing Dman who is paired with a career #7 option. It takes time for rookies to develop and that is where I am at with Muzzin. He is playing well enough all things considered.

How's things going?

You haven't ever really told me anything about Muzzin not that it matters.
 
Nice play by Muzzin there. Took stastny out of the okay nicely. Muzzin paired with doughty now.

Wonder if doughty will get double shifted.
