Just left the game. Crowd was into it all night even tho the bruins couldn’t string two passes together and didn’t seem to care.this team stinks and has no chemistry. Fire Monty before it’s too late.

Zadorov was a terrible signing.
Agree with you on the Zadorov signing. Seems more interested in putting people through the boards than playing positional hockey. That 1st Sens goal was a prime example.

I thought they were looking pretty good right after we went up 2-1. They were playing with pace, making plays, getting pucks to the net... Then Ottawa scored what looked like a real softy, other camera angles showed some bodies in the way so maybe not a softy but I wonder how it looked from the bench. They don't really get the benefit of those replays.

Then the power play did what it does, i.e. ignore a half dozen grade A opportunities to shoot until they eventually make an errant pass and that further killed momentum.

That attitude (making the extra, extra, extra pass) is even infecting the fourth line now, who had a 3on1 and everyone frigging passed it until they lost it.

Don't know what happened in the 3rd. They went back to such poor execution and bad decisions. Passes off the mark, dump ins and dump outs (i.e. turnovers) when there's no pressure and no need to get rid of it.

That was a winnable game. They were in looking good up 2-1... Then they gave it away. So frustrating.
The 2 on 1 that McAvoy muffed on was the turning point

Boston Bruins last 14 games = Goals for per game = 2.14

31st place GF per game = San Jose 2.40 (15 games)

32nd place GF per game = Anaheim = 2.08 (13 games)

Zadorov was the prime reason for both Sens goals in regulation. He screened Swayman on the 2nd goal, watch Zadorov's reaction, he knew exactly what he did.

On top of his nightly minor penalty. He has to be 1st in the league in minor penalties by now.

Walz was essentially Tyler Johnson later in his career. That's not a shot at either. Both played into their mid 30's in the NHL. Walz became a decent defensive forward with Minnesota the last 4 years of his career and played full seasons with a good Wild team.

I get they need offense from Poitras but you either need to be patient with him.
Poitras needs to be in Providence to work on strength and his game. He is Krejci with a 0% in the strength bar. He has the smarts you can see that when he has the puck. He likes to slow things down and make plays. The only difference is Krejci could maintain possession of the puck when pushing and shoving. Poitras can’t at the moment. He needs to be top line in Providence on a nightly basis and work on his game. Did wonders for Krejci and would for him.

As always there's a lot of complaining about Zadorov but the actual big acquisition seems to be getting a pass. Are we just going to pat him on the back for being a decent player, an overpaid mediocre 2nd center, or are we looking for more here? He's a good player, OK, but he's not driving play, or being aggressive or showing a bit of intensity.

That mentality is why we're here - no more time to wait, fire Monty into the sun NOW
As bad as they have been, statistically, they are in a decent spot where this can be turned around . Does anyone care about home ice advantage in the playoffs? I don’t. Let’s give Montgomery 5 games to right the ship but yeah the clock is ticking.

Had Swayman stopped what looked like a routine save they are up 2-1, they don’t need to take any shots over the last 24 minutes ~ they actually conserve energy. They have won 4 of 5 and all good.
Like Bill Parcells always said "You are what your record says you are." They are tied with 3 other teams for 8th place in the conference. They are the definition of mediocre.

I probably wouldn't fire the coach at this point because I think it lets the players off the hook, but if things go south then sure, can Monty. But the bigger problems on this team are the roster, the long term salary structure and the lack of high end prospects.

Fire Monty and be 2 games above .500 I guess (maybe). But the 3 problems I named are all above his pay grade and need to be dealt with at some point.

And that's been the scouting report on him since the day Buffalo drafted him. It's amazing that 5 teams keep thinking they can fix a lack of hockey iq.

Doc, we are so south.

Teams that benefitted from a coaching change recently.

Knights
Panthers
Oilers
Canucks
Devils
Sens

Teams overdue for a coaching change

Pens
Bruins
Habs
Funny, I see that list and think it says more about rosters than coaches. MTL isn't very talented, PIT is old and thin, BOS has 3 top 6 forwards.

I had Winnipeg ahead of Boston, but not Washington.

But the Caps have a very capable young bald coach, and we have the other guy and his magical mystery machine line distributor.
Yes , it’s the coach . I remember watching a Caps game last year and they showed a lot of behind the scenes stuff about the coach and I remember being very impressed with him .

Just looking, of the 6 teams that are .500, BOS has the worst goal differential. And of those teams, only UTA and NYI have fewer regulation wins, but they've played 1 fewer game than BOS.

I just don't think a coaching change fixes anything other than making people feel temporarily better.

Would have been better off keeping Forbort . At least you could limit his minutes. It’s hard to do that ( although I would ) with Zadarov considering the money he is making .

Maybe I’m wrong but Zadarov still doesn’t look like he is in shape . A big guy like that needs to be doing a LOT of skating . I’d be making him do a lot of laps in practice to get his conditioning up .

NHL is a result league. Nothing else than the win really matters.

If you don't play expectation and you don't have the result expected, you need to overlook what is the problem and solve it asap!

While I understand everyone pointing some players they are all signed, cap issue is to be considered, and it is much more difficult to find a dancer for a trade than some are pretending here. Some players pointed by posters have been part of why Bruins had so much season past success. They simply can not become disinterested or bad at the same time with no reason.

I currently beleive that If Monty continue to say especially publicly, he does not have the answer to Bruins problem, well decision are needed!

I know chemistry is hard to make, but 20 games is arriving soon and we still have some repeated problem not getting solved.

Why keep a guy with no answers!
