Game #16 11/12/14: Anaheim Ducks 6, Los Angeles Kings 5 (Final/SO)‎

Hard not to notice that it was often McBain and McNabb that were the defenders most hemmed in and scrambling around the most. That's a brutal D pairing but I think it can only get better as they play together and McBain learns the system.

Oh yeah, free Slava

Saw this on Ducks board thought is was fitting

great solid game, back and forth. Kopitar made Andersen his fool in the penalty shot, but my god Kesler was on point. Good game as always, Kings.

Appreciate the sportsmanship but I have to disagree. The Ducks played a tremendous game but the Kings were just atrocious. I was at the game last night and I cannot remember any team, much less the Kings, get dominated like that. If not for Quick standing on his head for a good portion of the game and the Ducks goal tending being soft, it could have easily been 10-1 Ducks.

Normally seeing the Kings blow a 2 goal lead in the 3rd would have made me apoplectic, but it was such a miracle that they were ahead in the first place and there was such a feeling of inevitability that the Ducks would come back that I could only just kind of laugh when it happened.

SOG's have been a problem for most games this year and it's not just tied to SLava being out. Greene has struggled and you add 2 new fairly inexperienced guys and injuries, that's a recipe for trouble. ANd you have to hope that pushing DD's TOI to over 30 min per won't cause an injury .

But part of the blame is on some of the forwards, who are not making smart decisions back there and in some cases being lazy.

This... McNabb gave up a 2 on 1 that eventually led to a goal because he pinched in and not one forward covered for him on D.

Lewis/Stoll/Carter is inexcusable. Lets just neutralize one of the better offensive players on the team by putting him with Stoll/Lewis...

Can't be too sure.

The average incubation period for mumps is 16-18 days, with a range of 12–25 days

Hopefully the Kings don't pick up something from the Ducks...Mumps spreading thru the West Conf
This from an hour ago from Wild practice:

Brodin and Scandella both ill, similar gland swelling to Ballard and Folin earlier this year; Ballard had the mumps #mnwild

Yeo on illness: "this came from somewhere else." Wild clearly thinks this began in Calif. and now it may "be in our locker room." #mnwild

So that's St Louis-Anaheim - Minny - ???

Agreed and pairing them together is setting them both up to fail though I'm not sure there's an alternative. A guy new to our team and system is the more familiar of the pairing. The other stepped in essentially off the street into our lineup against possibly our most powerful opponent. Props to them for trying...but the part that pisses me off is that Kesler juking you to the ground isn't a system failure, it's your own stupidity.

Come on, that's hyperbole. There's been worse even this season for the Kings, much less, say, the Sabres. I get the sentiment though. It wasn't as close as it looked.

Ditto, last night wasn't that bad .

Watch an Oilers game if you want to see bad Hockey, or a sabers game.

I respect Darryl Sutter as a coach. But I don't find his condescending press scrums the least bit entertaining. Sutter is a smart man with a lot he could share, and he chooses to present himself, his team and his sport like that.

@cotsonika Maybe you could try to step up to the challenge of asking him intelligent questions...instead, you moan about him on Twitter.

Stupid questions , get stupid answers.

I would have figured the media would learn by now.

The "What do you tell your team" question, is a stupid question.

Sutter answered it , with a comically stupid answer.

I don't like John Tortorella , but after watching Sutter for three years deal with the press. I now understand why Torts had such little patience for the pressers.

Ya, it's like the guy who ask him about stuff that happened 6 games ago, and Sutters like" you're asking me about that stuff ? "

In other words, Sutter didn't answer the question the way Cotsonika would've liked him to answer it. Boo-freaken'-hoo. Sutter will answer any question, any way he wants to.

Put Andreoff, and Nolan in the line up Saturday. Take out Brown, and Stoll to add more toughness to the line up. Plus Brown sucks right now, and Lewis is playing better than Stoll and Brown. I hope Regehr comes back soon, Matt Greene has been getting to much ice time, and has been exposed because of his lack of foot speed.
