Sharks need to draft some good puck-moving Dmen badly. They can't get out of their own zone to make use of their forwards. With this corp of Dmen, they're not going to go far even if they make the playoffs every year and even that is far from now.

Sharks really need a pick or two like that. A #1 defenseman or #1 center drafted outside of the first round or via trade...perhaps Mukhamadullin!

I do appreciate that Grier has at least been recognizing the need for puck-moving D and going after guys like Walman and Liljegren

I hate to keeping kicking him but I feel like Ferraro might be the single worst defenseman in the entire league at this point. Any time he's around the puck the worst possible thing happens.

He wasn't this bad as a rookie. Then he got hit in the face and lost those teeth and now he sucks.

Maybe all his hockey IQ was in his teeth this whole time?

Genuinely think he just looked good because of Burns at this point. Burns handled the puck exclusively on that pairing and his skating and range covered for a lot of Ferraro's weaknesses.

I also genuinely think he's gotten worse because he's somehow gotten more confident. When he really knew his limitations and didn't try to do more than he could.

He is vlasic but without the top end defensive play. He will only look good if his partner can cover every aspect outside of blocking pucks and the most basic defensive plays.
