I see we've entered the soap opera era of the Sharks.

Now I just can't wait for Smith and Celebrini to run off with Wennberg's baby saying she was theirs all along.
ngl i'm more excited to see the Smith-Celebrini fued play out over 3 PPV main events than I am seeing them raise the cup

They really have botched this Walman messaging. He said it was related to the injury, Warso said it isn't but nobody is above the team.

Best guess continues to be a) he hid the extent of the injury to stay on the ice and this is selfish and puts self over team b) because of injury he did or said something to the training staff (or PED?). Either way obviously they don't want to say whatever it is publicly. Probably should have just called it an injury D2D and kept everything else in house.

I don’t have too much issue with Warsofsky saying Walman was a healthy scratch last game even though he was injured. He did something that the team deemed worth sitting him a game for. We don’t know what it is but it was important for the locker room to know he will be held accountable. He likely wouldn’t have played anyway but the team clearly wanted to send a message.

For the fans that have issue with this just remember how the team failed to hold EK9 accountable for his actions and the toxic environment that caused. I would not be surprised if that was also part of why DQ was fired since it was only after exit interviews that he was abruptly let go.

Warsofsky is sending a message to his team which is excellent and in reality due to Walman’s injury had no baring on the on ice product.

I say well done Warsofsky.

Fleury is getting the start for the Wild. 5-3 Wild Celebrini/Smith/Eklund

Hoping we might get to see Smith on the second line with Granlund and Zetterlund, I really thought last game was the best game he has played so far, and I am really happy seeing his growth. Also wouldn't mind giving Smith PP1 time now considering the PP struggles we have seen but I am expecting it to be much better as the rust comes off for Celebrini.

This whole Walman thing has been crazy. Did he reinjure himself in Practice or is this the reason they should have given on Tuesday.

SNOG

Wild 4 (Boldy, Eriksson Ek, Kaprizov, Middleton)
Sharks 3 (Celebrini, Eklund, W. Smith)

I just wish they'd be completely honest about it and let everyone understand so we can process it and move on. This shouldn't be a big deal regardless of who did what.

Just say walman is being healthy scratched for a team policy issue or walman is a little banged up from the hit received the previous game. Those 2 basically shuts done any controversy about the reasons. But because Warsofsky was trying to be cryptic, all that has been talked about the past 5 days has been the reasoning.

Maybe Walman was hurt but now he’s out with hurt feelings.

For sure but it’s not exactly like Colorado losing Makar.
In a way it's worse becuse Colorado has other players who can move the puck at an NHL level on the back end, for us once Walman is out its all up to Timothy Liljegren to be the #1D at even strength and make up for Ferraro continously getting his head bashed in, we just don't have the depth to sacrifice any of our positive contributors out there

We allowed 50 shots against to Columbus with Walman out of the lineup

While true, the drop off from Walman to anyone else isn’t as massive as Makar, a top 5 all-time d in his prime to Toews. Theoretically we can just call up Luca and probably have a more offensively advantageous guy back there.

But either or both teams suffer from losing their best d-man.

The difference between Makar and Toews is bigger because Makar is an all-timer, true, but the difference between Toews and Liljegren is bigger, but more glaringly the difference between Manson and. . . Ceci? Ferraro? Thomson? is INSANE, we simply do not have an NHL caliber defense after like 2 or 3 guys, that is the difference, if we lose one of them were completely f***ed, it turns into the D core from last year

Unfortunately I think Warsofsky might be a Dinosaur slash Old Boy.

“Mario gives us everything he possibly has,” Warsofsky said. “He’s physical in his own end. Tries to stop pucks up [defensively] so we can get numbers around it. He puts his face in front of shots. He’s a good leader for us. He’s continued to improve his game in the years he’s been here, and he’s still got some improvement to go. But the big thing I like, he gives you everything he’s got.”
It's always good when the best thing you can say about a guy is that he tries.
