Man the Hockey Night in Canada broadcast is just so much better than Sportsnet. These guys know and talk hockey during intermission while the Sportsnet crew is just a bunch of sound bite comments they probably are fed.

0 goal by our 4th line (unless I missed one ? )
This is impressively bad
Pick your poison.
A- a bonified top line, with two players (core) in the top 10 in goals
B- balance attack and same old dump and grind from all 4 lines

Pens really don't deserve to be leading. Montreal was dominant the last 10+ minutes. Pens didn't even get a shot.

Out shot Pens, 20-9 in that period but they out scored us 2-0 on 2 pretty bad breaks for Montreal.

Hockey gods getting even for Detroit game?

Maybe.

But 3rd period could be more of the same with the old pens playing back to back.

They are really laying back and looking for bounces.... Which has worked so far.

I was thinking the same thing. With an OLD Pittsburgh team having played last night we can surely play three lines. Armia is on so bump him. Evans is slowly but surely turning into Vanilla Ice Cream.
