Something is really wrong with the league. It has been poorly officiated for years but this year it’s mysteriously even worse. Way worse. The only thing that I can think of is the gambling interests are interfering. But really it’s just a terrible loom for a pro league.

Unfortunately, outside interests (casinos, networks, etc.) are now dictating policy in most (if not all) sports today. Perfect example is that asinine "in season tournament" in the NBA (which was a joke anyway).
