When your top line guys are producing it makes the others complimentry. More focus is on the 3rd/4th lines guys because to be quite frank the top two lines have been dog poo . Everyone wants to scratch Freddy/Coyle/Geekie when the real problem has been Pasta/Marchy/Lindholm/Zacha/Mac/Carlo/ H Lindholm.

Frederic is a complementary player, but at a bare minimum you can control effort. I've not seen one comment in 14 GDTs praising his effort.

I am so very tired, with everything going on in the world and the time change, I am getting very little sleep. My interest is not very high, I will watch but wouldn't be at all surprised if I fall asleep before the end.

I remember seeing a video of freddy half assing a workout and Marchy giving him shit. Telling him you practice like you play. I see what he meant. Freddy doesn’t care. To comfortable

Well....what's bothersome is basically everything.
Offence is horrible.
Star players not contributing.
Defensive mistakes.
Horrible PP.
Turn overs.
Penalties
Crappy PK.
And the back-up (to a certain extent) is out playing the ""franchise"" goalie.

Certain players benched, called out in the media when it's the entire team minus the 4th line who are not playing good.

I've been holding off on canning Monty but if we drop the next two that's it. Something's gotta change.

IMO, thing will come back to normal. There is alot of anormal going on with the team up to now. If I am correct, 4th line is basically outscoring the 3 first line together at 5x5. It is a matter of time for this to change.

I recall again, that the Bruins roster energy and chemistry has not the usual last 20 years vibe.

First: define what is a top 6 players. I remember, that some say EL ain't one, well he did score 40 goals once.
Al Secord played top 6 minutes... can we define him as a top 6?
Bergeron was called 3 rd line centre.... end up with 6 Selke, + 1000Pts and more.
And now, there is more team, and with the money an expansion brings.... IMO at some point there will be expansion..........

So base on my interpretation of the question ask, IMO 20 years to have a consensus

keep the 4th line together and give them top minutes. Let the other earn it back.

I was heavily in favor of mixing up the lines after 5 games because they were constantly and consistently getting outplayed, but I think the lines they had the last couple games were fine. They were getting chances and they were outplaying the other team 5on5, even the Leafs. They just weren't finishing. To me, it felt like, ok we found some lines that have some chemistry, now we gotta lean on the players to step up and finish. So, it seems like a weird time to change lines now.
