So after seeing Ferraro and Rutta separated... is Ferraro the problem with that pairing? I'm sorry to keep dumping on him but this is insane. Watching Ferraro, Ceci, and Kunin try to execute a breakout makes me want to end it.
Considering that Ceci has gone downhill since his partner was switched from Walman to Ferraro, yep

It looks like like Smith is gaining some confidence out there, which is great! Vanecek definitely saved the day lol because otherwise the Sharks got crushed.

Like 2-3 games ago I said that, despite the record, we hadn't been as bad as last year because we weren't getting caved in like we were last year. Well, now we're getting caved in just as bad, we're just getting bailed out by our goalies.
We did not even remotely deserve this win, but hockey is a funny sport

The kids looked awesome tonight. If Eklund could shoot the puck he’d be a superstar, lol.
Well, Celebrini was not awesome

Yeah, that’s what I’m getting at. Not at all trying to rain down on the post-win parade but more trying to provide some context on how doomed we felt after the 9 straight losses. We were the victims of poor fortune then, and it just swung insanely hard back in our favor. Something that happens and you just have to enjoy it.

The start to that 3rd period was embarrassing. Vanecek seemed to be the only player locked in tonight.

Celebrini is not afraid to get into the dirty areas and I liked that he got in the face of a blue jackets player in a scrum. He also bumped into Merzlinkins unnecessarily after his missed OT chance:laugh:. Sharks go on to score shortly after that. Can’t wait to see him in the playoffs.

I feel bad for Grundstrom, his offsides goal had a beautiful finish and he was skating hard tonight (over 21 mph)

Overall, sloppy game but not lazy. Congrats to Thompson for the first career goal.

Werenski is so damn good. I wish there was a way we could pry him from Columbus.

He knocked down a hard clearing attempt on some elite hand eye coordination shit in the 1st period. Stood out all game moving the puck well. Stood out getting beat by Wennberg too though.

How the heck are these other teams keep losing to a bunch of AHLers with that defense? Is it coaching mastery or pure lucky bounces?

Ferraro is the problem with every pairing. He's not capable of being the strong partner on any pair.

I missed the whole Walman thing, was he actually healthy scratched? I remember last game it looked like he injured his wrist early, maybe it was to rest it?

Yes he was healthy scratched. I’ve seen people making conspiracy theories for the reason but I think it’s almost entirely because of his decision making issues
