I remember after the first season, thinking okay, we aren't going to win often, but at least we give an honest effort just about every single game. I have no trouble seeing the second season as something of an anomaly, a season where everything broke right for us. However, I can't help but miss how hard the team played in its initial season. Where did all that fighting spirit go?

I haven't dived in just yet, but I have been eyeing the 2025 entry draft with increasing interest lately. I keep telling myself, too soon, too soon, bad karma. But I don't know, I'm beginning to get the itch to find out how deep it is.

I have not dug too deep but it's top-5 seems pretty legit to me. Hagens, Martone, Misa could all be legit superstars in the league.

I struggled to meaningfully watch the game for any significant stretches tonight, and completely missed the 3rd but for seeing the stream out of the corner of my eye whenever someone scored. I therefore couldn't tell you the overall vibe from the game, but to say that the chunks I did manage to watch the Kraken looked overmatched.

If they continue to play this poorly I see a flurry of deals taking guys outta town...I think the big contracts doled plus putting Wright with McCann and Eberle was not looked at favorably and even having him on the 3rd line was a head scratcher since Gourde was slotted there but I guess you can't put a 4th overall pick on the 4th line right

I think there will be some more wins if Dunn comes back.
Still, the team just isn't that good and unless they somehow find a way to score some goals the Kraken will be out of the playoff picture aaround the TDL.

That would mean Francis having to admit he was wrong and potentially selling below value.

Anyways the Kraken now have a six game home stand including games against Chicago, Columbus and Nashville.

The Colorado Avalanche nearly had a goal taken off the board but the officials were able to correct their mistake after a second look at the play.

So the key is the rule 83.1, which states "If a player legally carries, passes or plays the puck back into his own defending zone while a player of the opposing team is in such defending zone, the off-side shall be ignored and play permitted to continue."
In this case, Gourde "played" (accidentally shot) the puck into defending zone.

When the Kraken were put together in 2021 the players played for each other(blocked Shots) and everything was earned...ice time,Money...then something happened and the team was/is not a team anymore...players are looking over their shoulders and wondering the WTF is going on...and can the Broadcasters stop talking about the Kraken Female Coach...she's a coach being Female is irrelevant...the question is she any good at her job...is she auditioning for the Top spot on the Expansion Seattle Women's team when it hits the Pacific NWest?Otherise it just seems like another distraction in a Mountain of ones this year thus-far
