1) Seattle shot it into own zone
2) It still shouldn't matter

So the question isn't at all where MacKinnon is as in "traditional offside". The question is that if defensive team delivers the puck into their own zone, does that nullify the offside? Sure, it is _very_ rare you shoot it like that into your own zone, but...?

This is the part I didn't get. I mean, Seattle challenges, MacKinnon is in "traditional offside position". But who was the one deciding to check about who delivered the puck to Seattle's defensive zone?

And I'm using word "traditional" just because I don't have a better word for it. It probably isn't official term at all.

Right? It happens with relative regularity, but the player usually on side. How the hell does it make skater position in relation to the puck at the blue line any different? It doesn’t. It matters for nothing.

Finally, the Kraken look up at the scoreboard and see the 8 shots and are thinking “we suck really bad” and go out and shoot. 6 shots in 5 minutes after only 8 in 33.
