This is yet another example of a coach with no creativity. We get chances, don't score on any of them, are down 3-0. Do we mix up the lines, NAH, just keep running everything the same right to the end of the game. At least Blashill would try different things when something isn't working, and I didn't care for Blashill at all.

I saw a headline from a Free Press article titled "Why Derek Lalonde wanted to address his Detroit Red Wings after their latest loss " and I got excited that maybe he'd had enough and was going to fire up the team..it turns out he wanted to tell them to keep their chin up and that they could have scored 8 goals.

I'm not a huge believer in taking too much out of coaches public statements, but man, it seems like he has zero sense of urgency.

Once again however coaching caused issues. No way petry should have been put back into the lineup. Once again the chirot petry pair were terrible. Chariot and holl were actually decent last night and AJ had a good game too. So of course lalonde goes and makes that switch for no reason. Then we get scored on to go down 2-0 and who does lalonde put on the ice? Chiarot and petry and... spoiler alert... Rangers immediately scored a 3rd goal. Lalonde makes stupid decision after stupid decision.

On top of that after 2 periods of play edvinsson had 14 min and 35 seconds. After the 3rd period he had just over 20 minutes which means he got played barely over 5 minutes in the 3rd period. He was our best dman tonight along with seider, we are down 3 goals and gets played that little.

Which brings me to my last issue with coaching. Down by 3 and it was the rangers pressing in the 3rd- not the wings. Lalonde just continued to roll each line as if we had the lead. Super frustrating to watch and I hope we continue to lose and lose until lalonde gets fired because a fresh voice is 100% needed.

Sometimes I think Petry gets bashed just as a representation of everything disappointing about the defensive corps, but he was legitimately a mess last night.

As I said earlier in the thread, I didn't see the Leafs game but sounds like it was played well outside of the PK, so why sit AJ and bring in Petry??

Good news is after 13 games in we are done playing the Rangers.

At first time during the season all the D-pairs and Forward lines were positive on xGoals%.

Think the good times are coming. Rangers just was too elite team to beat yet.

Play like this and all the weak teams will be beaten.
