In the Penguins game, the first game of the season, the Pens gave up a gazillion odd man rushes for free. Odd man rushes... the one thing the Rangers thrive on ES when handed them on a silver platter. Goodness knows they have no clue how to generate those on their own against decent teams.
We also had a Lindgrenless d corps which helped with quick puck movement out of our d zone. It's not the ridiculous passes into skates with time and space that he and Trouba are so good at that I'm talking about, its the facing-the boards-back-to-the-play-chip-it-past-the-defender-to-your-C-skating-with-speed that we really miss.

Though I'll add that when we do try those cute plays they mostly end up for an odd man back our way sooooooo

Im expecting them to get walloped tonight but that probably means they'll actually play well in a win for a change
If I were a betting man I would now take this into consideration. What do we know about our Rangers? Often times we play down to our opponents level, subjecting ourselves to a loss but still find ways to winning due to the fact that they just KNOW how to win. They also have a tendency in raising their game when they play a formidable opponent. So when it looks like a loss, it doesn't mean it will be, and when it looks like a surefire win, it doesn't necessarily mean that as well.

What I do know is that despite the naysayers, this team wins MUCH MORE often than it loses. They don't LIKE to LOSE. What did we have last year ONE, 3 game losing streak and winless in 4 just ONCE? That is consistent winning, not necessarily consistently playing well. But yet, they still find ways to WIN. That's waht this team knows, that's what they EXPECT. They cannot be happy with their play of late, they KNOW it needs to be corrected. Possibly their biggest issue is "taking games for granted", taking their goaltending for granted. IDK that's my guess.

They will put on their big boy pants and play a much better game tonight (in fear of being embarassed), book it, heck BET on it.
I guarantee it. Mind you, fortunately/unfortunately I don't gamble anymore. I have a VERY addictive personality. Good luck!

You're not wrong but I already bet on the jets. I will trade $10 for a rangers win every day and twice on Sunday's lol. especially in what amounts to a meaningless November game

If you put Lindgren and Fox on the second pair, does that count as changing up the defense? - The coach (probably)

No one is talking about the REAL reason why Peg is almost undefeated: 2C Vlad N, and #1 D PIONK.

Seriously, Connor, Ehlers and Morrissey were criminally underrated, but looking forward to watching some of the younger contributors: Viliardi, Perfetti, Samberg.

How is Namestinkov a second line center on a 14-1 team? That lineup doesn't scream 14-1 to me. They may beat us but they have been vastly overachieving.

I just know we're going to get hit with "look how well Pionk turned out" so I'm getting ahead of that.

Pretty funny how despite playing in front of Connor Hellebuyck, Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor are so bad defensively that they have not managed to outscore their opposition at 5v5 in any of the last 5 years. Yet somehow, these guys have had the reputations as being the best on the team (instead of the actual best player in Ehlers) because the coaches play them a lot.

We can’t get pulled into a game of hockey against this club. We have to focus on immediately starting the game by doing something overly violent and clownish. This would be our best chance.

Overly violent and clownish? Dont do that, someone might break a nail!

Jets are almost at 20% shooting percentage for unblocked shots for the powerplay. They finished last season with half of that. That number will probably come down eventually but if they give them point blank shots like they do against every team, that's going to hurt us. They also lead the league in giveaways from the d-zone. So naturally our team isn't prepared to have forechecking in the game plan tonight.
