PP1's issue isn't just Matheson. Everybody is too lazy and trying to be cute. PP2 makes simple plays and works way harder which makes them so much more effective.

The issue is that they can't find openings for proper passes because they're being so passive. Instead of creating openings by skating around and passing faster, they just do everything I slow motion and waste time.

This season is the end of the rebuild as we are seeing it. Hughes will use some draft capital and free agency money next summer to improve things.
